The Roles

Barista

As a Barista, you are the face of the company and the connection to our customers everywhere – making a difference in each and every person’s day through the first-class beverages you make.

Shift Supervisor

As Shift Supervisor, you will help your store partners make world-class connections with the customers you see every day. You’ll be responsible for supporting the operations of the store and communicating positively and effectively with a diverse group of individuals.

Starbucks store manager

Store Manager / Assistant Store Manager

As a leader at Starbucks you will be empowered to treat the store as if it is your own business. You’ll champion our values to create the Starbucks experience for our customers and partners. 

District Manager

As a senior leader at Starbucks you will treat your portfolio of stores as if it is your own business and own the detail to make sure your stores deliver the best Starbucks Experience to all our customers and partners. You’ll be the inspiration to the partners in your care to do and be the best.

Barista

Our baristas are the heart and soul of the community. The best part about this role is that no two days are ever the same! Working in one of our dynamic stores, a typical day could include:

 

· Providing quality beverages and food products consistently for all customers in line with our recipe and presentation standards

· Delivering legendary customer service to all customers with a customer comes first attitude and creating genuine connections

· Maintaining a clean and organised workspace for your customers and partners

· Supporting with store procedures including opening or closing the store, till usage, and safety and security

· Anticipating and delivering on your customer and store needs by getting to know your store environment and customers

Shift Supervisor

Find your place at Starbucks where you’ll take the lead of the shift, working with your team of baristas to create our Starbucks Experience for our customers with high quality service and beverages, delivering best moments and operational excellence. Working in one of our dynamic stores, a typical day could include:

 

· Collaborating with the Store Manager, leading great shifts, supporting partners and delivering the Starbucks Experience for our team and customers

· Inspiring and motivating the store team to make every moment right for our partners and customers, including pre-empting and adapting to any potential issues and addressing any that arise to optimise the customer experience

· Providing quality beverages and food products consistently for all customers in line with our recipe and presentation standards

· Delivering legendary customer service to all customers with a customer comes first attitude and creating genuine connections

· Maintaining a clean and organised workspace for your customers and partners

· Executing store operations during scheduled shifts, including organising opening and closing duties.

· Ensuring all partners follow Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including those for till usage and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.

Store Manager / Assistant Store Manager

To be successful in the role, you’ll have previous experience in leading a team in a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment. You’ll understand your market, getting to know the competition and identify opportunities to drive store profitability and your results forward. As a store manager, you’ll be setting the example and leading from the front on shift. A typical day could include:

 

· Supporting the growth of your partners, coaching and developing your team and building positive relationships to understand partner challenges, needs and aspirations

· Executing store operations through your team, making sure all of your partners are delivering the Starbucks experience consistently from open to close

· Analysing data and observations in store to inform decision making that improves both the customer experience and overall store performance

· Using forecasting and scheduling tools to manage labour within the required budgets as well as recruitment and training of world class and diverse talent that meets the store needs

· Overseeing stock ordering, ensuring sufficient inventory is available to meet customer demands and conducting accurate stock counts

· Cascading and rolling out of new initiatives to enable operational excellence and drive business results

· Setting challenging yet realistic goals to drive engagement and improve partner performance

· Leading great shifts, providing quality beverages and food products consistently for all customers in line with our recipe and presentation standards

· Role-modelling legendary customer service with a customer comes first attitude and creating genuine connections

· Maintaining a clean and organised workspace for your customers and partners

· Ensuring all partners follow Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including those for till usage and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift

District Manager

As a senior leader at Starbucks you will treat your portfolio of stores as if it is your own business and own the detail to make sure your stores deliver the best Starbucks Experience to all our customers and partners. A typical day could include:

 

· Supporting the growth of your partners, coaching and developing your team and building positive relationships.

· Overseeing store operations through your team, making sure all of your stores are delivering the Starbucks experience consistently from open to close.

· Analysing data and observations to inform decision making that improves both the customer experience and overall district results, setting goals to drive engagement and improve partner performance.

· Using forecasting and scheduling tools to manage labour across the district within the required budgets as well as recruitment and training of world class and diverse talent that meets the stores’ needs.

· Maintaining safe and secure environments in all stores in your district in line with Starbucks standards.

· Ensuring your stores maintain sufficient inventory to meet customer demands and conduct accurate stock counts.

· Cascading and rolling out of new initiatives to enable operational excellence and drive business results.

· Role-modelling legendary customer service with a customer comes first attitude and creating genuine connections.

· Ensuring all partners follow Starbucks operational policies and procedures.
